Over the past three years, we have laid the foundation for working with modularization within Grundfos, resulting in impressive success with our initial projects. These projects have streamlined development processes and generated significant financial gains. In fact, our first modularization endeavours led to the reuse of modules across seven development projects, demonstrating the immense potential of this approach. As we look ahead, the demand for modularization projects is solid, promising substantial financial impact across the entire company.
This position is anchored in Grundfos Group Technology & Innovation function, specifically Architecture & Modularization (A&M) You will report to the Head of Architecture & Systems Engineering and have a wide contact to many other parts of the organization globally and locally.
What is the job about?
As Modularization Consultant, you play an integral part of Modularization Projects and support the subsequent implementation across underlying development projects. You take part in the development and maturing of tools and templates and supporting systems and solutions within modularization and standardization. The department is responsible for developing and deploying these tools and systems to an excellent level.
Your main responsibilities:
Together with our Chief Architects, you will be a central participant in Modularization Projects which based on insights and intelligence from market, product design, manufacturing and finance lay out new strategies and foundations for our future product portfolios.
Furthermore, you will:
- Guide and ensure the pervasive application of the Grundfos Module Platforms through close collaboration with Module Managers
- Guide and support development projects to follow and comply with the references laid out
- Be part of the continuous development of methods, tools and systems used in modularization to an excellent level
- Be part of driving the modularization change in Grundfos through clear and concise communication and training
- Act as change agent for Modularization & Standardization in Grundfos and mentor other colleagues
Your background:
Our new Modularization Consultant have a strategic mindset and can understand the big picture and translate it into tactical views and plans. You enjoy operating in the mix-zone of technical and business orientated decisions.
Furthermore, we imagine that:
- You have a MSc in engineering with some years of work experience
- Experience and understanding of modularization and standardization, e.g., product structures and architectures and/or market and business requirements
- Experience working on a conceptual design level
- Understanding of the full value chain, i.e., market, product/technology, and production, as well as financial insights and e.g., business case calculations
- Experienced user of software applications, as e.g., SAP, MS Office (PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, PowerBI)
- You have good communication skills both in written and verbally and manage to transform abstract and complicated information to a pragmatic and communicative level.
- You have the ability to build a network across different organizational levels and functions, across geographical and cultural differences
